Hello

This website is dedicated to an overview of my teaching activities and the accumulated evidence during my teachers practices, studies and work. This is not only my portfolio as a teacher, but also a place to present the latest information about the fruits of my work and creativity. I hope that my life path as a teacher will interest you and you will choose me as your dance teacher!

A little about me

At the age of three, I knew I wanted to be a dancer. But it took another 19 years for me to gather enough courage to pursue my dreams. At the age of 22, I started traveling around Europe and participating in various dance programs and movement laboratories to unveil my creative potential. Thanks to dance, I visited Ireland, Holland and Denmark. I completed a 10-months dance program at "Motion*s" dance studio in Berlin, Germany, and Erasmus+ program studies at Tartu University, Viljandis Academy of Culture, Estonia, where I studied contemporary dance for a year. In my pedagogical activities, I aim to reveal the creative potential of each person, using contemporary dance techniques and improvisation methods. I aim for each of my students to be able to articulate their thoughts, express emotions and tell stories that are relevant to him or her through movement. Using the knowledge gained while studying "Art history and criticism" and "Theatrology and Performing Arts Management" programs at Vytautas Magnus University, as well as my experience working as a theater and dance critic, I aim to broaden students' understanding of dance, its role in the field of culture and art, and to encourage active interest in the world of dance.

Teaching subject pedagogy: bachelor's degree in dance education

The aim of the program is to train highly qualified subject pedagogues for primary and secondary education, who have fundamental scientific knowledge of the chosen field of education, who, guided by the acquired co-cultural, professional, general and personal competencies, would be able to ensure high-quality education of students now and in the future, create various learning opportunities, would develop their own competencies, be able to follow the acquired competencies in independent educational activities and further education.

During dance studies, the technique of modern dance, improvisation and movement pedagogy methods, the process of creating a dance performance and its presentation to the academic community are explored.

The aim of the study program is to prepare highly qualified theatrology specialists who are able to independently conduct research, initiate, organize and manage performing arts processes, follow and evaluate scientific and practical innovations, analyze, interpret and evaluate theatrical phenomena in a broad cultural context, assess their institutional affiliations, socio-cultural and economic assumptions.

The program​gram is intended to prepare qualified art historians who know how to conduct research on various types of art objects and phenomena, evaluate them from the point of view of artistic and historical value, and present them to the public. Basic knowledge about different types of art (architecture, fine art, photography, theater, cinema, music, dance) in Lithuania and the world is provided, the general development of art, the connections and general regularities of individual types of art are introduced.

10-month intensive dance program


"Motion*s" dance studio,

Berlin, Germany

In this program, participants are taught a variety of dance styles. They are taught proper body posture, modern, jazz and contemporary and street dance styles such as popping, hip hop, house, voguing etc. Existing dance knowledge is deepened and new techniques are practiced, while at the same time encouraging to try new styles and find an opportunity to express your creativity through dance. Along with personal physical development and an official certificate, the program participant will gain a deeper connection with the art of dance.

2018

Pedagogical and psychological knowledge course


Kaunas Teacher Qualification Center

The aim of the course is to provide individuals with the basics of pedagogy, psychology and didactics, which are necessary to effectively educate students according to professional training and non-formal (except for pre-school and pre-school education) education programs, to reveal the main principles and psychological regularities of pedagogical activity, to characterize the possibilities of pedagogical activity and training in different teaching and learning situations.
